# 23: Is this really the end? Or just the beginning ...

This has been an interesting journey – social networking technology is developing so rapidly that we need, from time to time, a structured course to keep in touch with what’s happening out there!

I do have some concerns, however. Exciting as this journey has been, I feel that in now way has it prepared us for any intensive use of the new technologies. This has been a very basic (and in my case a very eye-opening) overview. I wouldn’t be much use to a library customer who had queries about using, for example, a Zoho application.

Naturally, I’d like to think I’d have time to go back and revisit some of the applications that interested me most, but the truth of the matter is that I probably won’t! Still, I’m now aware of many things that I wasn’t aware of a few weeks ago. And my tendency to want to do things properly means that there are some things on my blog that need to be fixed up so they look better.

There are some tools that could be useful in libraries – I’ve mentioned these as I went along, but some suggestions are the use of podcasts and videos (as per YouTube) for various library instructions. Or perhaps a wiki section on our library site for feedback? .

Anyway, that’s the end of the journey. Finis.Or maybe it should be To be continued?

I have to agree with you..this program is only the tip of the iceberg. It is a taste of Web 2.0 and if ywe are to oursue technologies we have to explore a whole lot further.
Congrats on completing the program
