I see technology generally as a tool that can be used to make life easier. It can be anything from a telephone to a new computer program to ..... I'm not one of those who can go into raptures over technology for technology's sake, but if it makes things easier I'm all for it! For example, I may be something of a Luddite, but I have no desire to go back to card catalogues! And I wouldn't be without my mobile phone for quids.
And it can be fun! Another example - Flickr looks like funl. I can't hink of any immediate way of using all those pictures right now, but it's great to be aware of the possibilities.
The main thing about technology is its content and usage. For example, http://www.zdnet.com/ is a regular review of technology and, in my opinion, is worth a regular look (see RSS feeds in the next section) to try and keep up to date with what's happening in the world of technology.
Speaking of content, how do people do those nifty little opinion poll thingies? Is this another bit of technology I've missed out on?
